These cabinets were in good shape and the layout was interesting but the coarse
wood grain looked dated. They were good candidates for a painted finish. Before painting, we added
some crown and rope molding, a few glass doors, fluted molding columns, and panels to the ends of the
cabinets to add more interest. New hardware, granite countertops and a tile backsplash were the final touches.
